Dr. Alex Hinnebusch graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of William and Mary with a B.S. in Psychology (2010). During college, he aspired to become a clinical psychologist following his work at the National Institutes of Mental Health in a lab researching autism spectrum disorders.

He then attended graduate school at the University of Connecticut where he specialized in neuropsychology and pediatric psychology, and conducted research on autism spectrum disorders. He completed a predoctoral internship at Johns Hopkins/Kennedy Krieger Institute, gaining valuable experience in neuropsychology, inpatient rehabilitation, and family systems therapy. He graduated in 2016 with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

He completed post-doctoral fellowship at Michigan Medicine/University of Michigan in Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology. He provided rehabilitation psychology services to children and their families admitted to the inpatient rehabilitation program, and conducted outpatient neuropsychological assessments.

After fellowship, Dr. Hinnebusch began working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he provided outpatient neuropsychological evaluations to children with a wide range of medical conditions affecting the brain. He also provided outpatient psychotherapy services to children with medical conditions and psychological disorders.

He now lives in Clay, New York with his wife and three dogs where he provides neuropsychological evaluations, assessments, and therapy services to residents of Syracuse and the larger Central New York region.

Dr. Hinnebusch is actively licensed in New York (License #025389-01) and Ohio (P.07748). He is an active member of the Central New York Psychological Association and New York State Association of Psychology.
