• A neuropsychological evaluation will help you better understand an individual’s cognitive (thinking) skills. This includes someone’s IQ/intellect, but also other skills like attention, processing speed, working memory, executive functioning, learning and memory, language and motor skills, etc.

A neuropsychological evaluation may be appropriate if you have concerns regarding you/your child’s cognitive/thinking skills, and/or if there is a medical condition that has affected the central nervous system/brain (e.g., epilepsy, cerebral palsy, spina bifida).

This type of in-depth testing will help generate a report that details all information gathered throughout the evaluation, along with a summary of findings and recommendations.

Dr. Hinnebusch provides neuropsychological evaluations to children ages 5 to 18 and adults.

  • Concussions can disrupt many aspects of life and functioning, and can have an impact on cognitive functioning. Specialized concussion evaluations will measure primary cognitive abilities that are negatively impacted by concussion.

  • An ADHD-focused evaluation can help determine whether you/your child meet criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD. • This evaluation is appropriate if you have concerns that you/your child may have an autism spectrum disorder that has not been diagnosed. Evaluations are typically focused on determining a diagnosis of high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, and clients are able to communicate verbally.
